Your certificate is transferable, simply complete the membership form.
For new inspectors the National Certification process includes:
- Achieve a passing score for the CAHPI National Exam (CNE)
- Completion of 10 mentored inspections
- Report verification by mentor

If you are a CAHPI National Certificate Holder (NCH)®, consider upgrading to the highest National Designation for home inspectors in Canada - REGISTERED HOME INSPECTOR (RHI)

Following is the step-by-step process for the RHI® Upgrade….
- Have a City Commissionaire, Notary or other professional complete and stamp the attached RHI® affidavit
- Attach a list of 250 inspections (for privacy include only date and address – no personal information)
- Submit a recent report for Report Verification
- Return the signed RHI® affidavit and list of 250 inspections to
- Log into the CAHPI member dashboard and click icon ‘Upgrade Membership’
- Click the application form Upgrade to RHI®
- Complete the RHI® Upgrade form and submit one-time payment of $254.25 (tax incl.)
