3.3 Membership Eligibility - Non-Voting Members

To become a Non-Voting Member, an individual must:

• submit a completed application form, together with any supporting documentation and the applicable fee; and
• demonstrate that they are (i) actively working towards meeting the requirements to become a Voting Member, and (ii) not an unsupervised practicing home or property inspector.

If the Board or its designate is satisfied that the individual has met those requirements and the application is otherwise in order, the Board or its designate will admit the individual as a Non-Voting Member.

In addition to the By-laws...

I understand that as a candidate, I have limited rights to the use of the logo. I cannot vote or hold office.  I cannot and will not use the CAHPI® name or logo or advertise or imply in any promotional material until I have become a National Certificate Holder or RHI.

I understand that my profile will not be included in the search database 'Find an Inspector' until I have met the criteria for National Certificate Holder.

I have read, accept, and fully understand all statements in this application, and hereby certify that all statements are correct.  I understand that any failure to comply with the above or falsification may exclude me from membership in the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors® and also automatically end my status as a candidate.

I will adhere to and uphold the Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, By-laws and reputation of CAHPI®  .

If within two years I have not met the requirements for membership, I understand that my application status will end and I will lose all benefits associated with. NOTE: I understand I may reapply as a candidate at that time.
