Members are required to complete 20 hours of educational training per year and record their Membership Renewal Credits (MRCs) at time of renewal.

The WETT system consists of several courses recognizing the various types of work done by wood-energy professionals. Certification is achieved by completing courses to earn educational credits and submitting a declaration of experience within the industry. At your first course, a technical reference manual is given to you. Even after you've completed the Code Compliance course, you will find that the manual is a very useful resource.

Please review the path to certification before registering. To register for any WETT course, simply fill out the online registration form. Submit in your completed registration form and payment to reserve your place in the course. Plan to respond promptly since there is a course maximum of 25 participants.  Register for WETT courses.

Home Flood Risk Assessment Training

The "Home Flood Risk Assessment Training (HFRAT)" is starting May 1, 2020. It is a high level course that enables learners to gain knowledge and skills to help homeowners reduce their risk of basement flooding and associated damages by understanding the factors that influence urban flood risk in Canada. The course fee is $423.44 and also provides students with a nationally applicable electronic assessment tool that will allow you to complete flood risk assessments across Canada.
