Fire Protection


The elements of construction and building design of structures relating to fire protection are emphasized. How building construction and codes affect fire and life safety are discussed.

Presenter: Claude Lawrenson
Claude Lawrenson is a retired college professor of architecture and building technology program coordinator. He operated a home inspection business for approximately 25 years in Windsor Ontario area. His primary work is now focused as a building consultant specialist for First Nation housing and Inspection Support Services. Several other key roles are related to his accomplishments on DACUM (Developing a Curriculum) and as a credentialing specialist. Claude is one of the founding members of OAHI, and the longest-term member for the advancement of the National Initiative - National Certification Program and Test Inspection (TIPR) process.
